1.6.8 (2008-09-05)

Changed scoring of the Bayesian rule to compensate for spam coming from abused servers.
Fixed a minor problem in the downloader of rule Intent causing some files to be partially downloaded.
The antispam service now automatically shuts down after being idle for 2 minutes. The timeout value can be controlled by the following Registry Key: HKLM\Software\SurfRight\Caretaker\Antispam\IdleTimeout (REG_DWORD). Specify the timeout value in milliseconds. Do not specify a value lower than 60000.
Several improvements to the installer:

The installer now copies itself to the SurfRight\Installer folder to allow uninstall or upgrade.
Some users use rigorous cleanup tools to free disk space. These tools empty the C:\Windows\Installer folder resulting in that -any- installed Windows Installer package cannot be uninstalled or upgraded without the original media.
An upgrade now first installs the new files and then removes the old files. In some scenarios it was possible that when first removing the old version, then installing the new version (which failed), resulted in that the product was no longer installed at all. This was mostly caused by an installed 3rd party firewall product that asks the user whether the Caretaker Proxy is allowed as a listening service.
During upgrade, the installer now ignores the failure of uninstalling an older version of the product.
During upgrade or uninstall, the installer now closes the Caretaker Notifier. This prevents the FileInUse dialog from appearing under Windows Vista.
The antispam service is no longer automatically started.
The antispam service is now startable by the Everyone user group.

Fixed a problem in following meta tag based redirects.
Small internal change so that downloading files always use HTTP/1.1. This fixes a problem on some systems, mostly Windows 2003 Servers, where the Local System account would use HTTP/1.0 whereas WinInet tried to use HTTP/1.1, resulting sometimes in a partial download of the file.

Spamfilter draait nu geheel los van de mailclient, dankzij TDI driver (vereist helaas een herstart van de computer). Hierdoor zijn er 2 services (AntispamService, CaretakerProxy) en 1 toepassing (Notifier) bijgekomen. De services en toepassing communiceren via HTTP met systemen op Internet (denk aan Firewall). Deze architectuur lost ook problemen op met o.a. de Pro-actieve bescherming van Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Lagere processorbelasting en snellere verwerking van binnenkomende berichten.
Spamfilter werkt nu met alle mailclient met ondersteuning voor POP3/SMTP. Voor de populairste mailclients maakt het spamfilter automatisch een Spam-map met berichtregel aan.
